Conversation Pieces
This week’s journey begins with something we all do every day: talk. Sometimes it’s a casual chat, sometimes a heartfelt confession, sometimes an argument, and maybe even the conversation we wish we’d had but never found the words for.
We’ll hear artists wrestling with love, friendship and loneliness. Some tracks are directly inspired by conversations, while others reveal the spaces that open up when we speak honestly or listen closely. Exchanges between lovers, conversations with strangers, dialogues with ourselves and even a few songs where communication seems impossible.
With more than fifty years of music, from Faces and Talk Talk to The Strokes, Arlo Parks and Real Estate, we celebrate the power of words to build bridges, mend wounds, raise questions and sometimes cause trouble.
